Our Teachers

What is so special about our teachers?

*Work Culture:*
*“Together We Make This World a Better Place”*
•	Teachers have to go through a period of internship which stretches from 3 to 12 months.

•	One of the first things they have to understand is the work culture. They not only have to recall and recite it, they have to internalise what the statement says.

•	Irrespective of seniority and job function, each staff will carry out his/her duty…. *to make this world a better place*. We expect that the cleaner or the teacher will do his/her job with the same passion, care and intensity that the Principal or the CEO of the company would have.

*Training modules & formats:*
•	Classroom learning

•	Experiential on/off-campus trainings

•	Child psychology & developmental changes in children

•	Multiple Intelligences & Multi-faceted Teaching

•	Counselling of children/parents

•	Technical training-pedagogy

•	Management of children on field-trips/holiday camps

•	Financial literacy/Entreprenuership

•	Service culture & Attitudinal training

Teachers are encouraged to assume facilitators’ roles during training, in areas of their competence.

*Multi-faceted Teaching [MfT]:*
This subject is central to whether we deliver effectively or not.
•	Firstly, teachers must *understand the MI approach* clearly.

•	MfT works in tandem with our *R.E.A.L Curriculum*.

•	Notwithstanding this, the teacher has to use a great deal of creativity to deliver the lesson to reach the whole class *within one* *session*.

•	Research shows that if a child learns something in the area of his interest and intelligence, he most probably *remembers the subject for life*. Some researchers call this “learning preferences”.

•	At CEC a great deal of time and expense are devoted to the *training of teachers* on this subject.
